Tyler advises clients in connection with mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, corporate finance, and private equity transactions. Prior to joining the firm, Tyler practiced in the Houston office of an international law firm where he assisted clients with a broad range of complex corporate matters in the energy industry. Before starting his legal career, Tyler worked as a project manager for a global research technology company.
While in law school, Tyler received the Louisiana State Bar Association Corporate and Business Law Section Award, which recognizes the highest overall GPA in the corporate curriculum.
Tyler is a member of the Young Leadership Council (YLC), a nonprofit, nonpartisan civic organization created to develop leadership through community projects.

Representative Matters
- Served as counsel to the New Orleans Convention Center, which controls the majority of a 47-acre property along the east bank of the Mississippi River, in negotiations for the master development of and ground leases for the $1 billion mixed-use River District development project; current plans include a new office building to house Shell Oil’s Gulf of Mexico headquarters, a Top Golf entertainment complex, and approximately 900 mixed-income apartments and condominiums, including space for those qualifying for affordable or workforce housing rents
- Advanced Industrial Devices, a portfolio company of firm client Black Bay Energy Capital, in its acquisition of R.S. Integrators, Inc.
- Carr’s Hill Partners Management, LP, a private equity firm, in its investment in Matthews Brothers Dredging, LLC
- Bernhard LLC in its Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) partnership with the University of New Orleans
