About
Marina Speligene focuses her practice primarily on mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, and business banking and finance.
Marina represents private equity funds and corporate clients in connection with private equity transactions, as well as in acquisitions and divestitures of assets and companies. She has experience across a variety of industries, including architecture, environmental services, equipment rental, and energy.
Marina received her law degree, magna cum laude, from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University (LSU), where she was a member of the Louisiana Law Review and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. While in law school, she interned for the Honorable Shelly D. Dick, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana.
Experience
- Danos Group Holdings, LLC, an affiliate of firm client Danos, in its acquisition of 100% of the equity interests in AXion Logistics, LLC.
- PRG – Casa Properties LLC as borrower in the issuance of $241.2 million in tax-exempt bonds to finance a major new student housing development serving Florida International University.
- PRG – Oxford Properties LLC as borrower in the issuance of $114.25 million in mixed tax-exempt and taxable bonds to finance 1,282 beds of new student housing at the University of Mississippi.
- PRG – Akron Properties LLC as borrower in the issuance of of $158.5 million in tax-exempt and taxable bonds to finance the renovation and revitalization of on-campus housing at the University of Akron in Ohio.
- PRG – RI Properties LLC as nonprofit borrower in the issuance of $210 million in tax-exempt bonds to finance the construction of on-campus housing at the University of Rhode Island.
