Gabriel J. Winsberg

Gabe Winsberg represents bankruptcy trustees and other clients in complex commercial litigation. His practice focuses on pursuing claims against directors and officers for breaches of fiduciary duty, as well as claims against those who aid and abet such misconduct, including private investment firms and professional advisors. Gabe also represents clients in complex commercial disputes against insurance companies and other sophisticated corporate defendants. Representative matters include a federal bankruptcy trial at which Gabe successfully argued for exclusion of the defendants’ only expert and a preliminary injunction hearing where he and his colleagues persuaded the court to restrain more than $30 million in disputed assets.

Before shifting his practice to representing plaintiffs, Gabe began his career at a nationally recognized Louisiana defense firm. For more than half a decade, his practice focused on defending Fortune 500 companies in complex, mass-tort litigation. In that role, he represented clients in matters throughout Louisiana and across the country, with millions of dollars at stake, including at bellwether trials for two MDLs.

Gabe’s experience on both sides of litigation gives him a valuable perspective on how sophisticated defendants assess, litigate, and ultimately resolve claims. He uses that perspective to anticipate opposing strategies, identify pressure points, and develop winning approaches for his clients.
