She frequently speaks on topics in bankruptcy law, most recently serving as a panelist at the 28th and 27th Louisiana State University Annual Bankruptcy Law Conferences.
Cherie is the former co-chair of the Louisiana chapter of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) and previously served as committee chair for the bankruptcy section of the New Orleans Bar Association. She is also a current member of the Association for Women Attorneys – New Orleans.
Experience
- Represents the chapter 11 Trustee in the jointly administered bankruptcy cases of Westbank Holdings, LLC, et al., owners of low-income housing properties throughout the New Orleans metropolitan area, in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
- Represents Louisiana St. Gabriel, LLC, et al., owners and operators of trucking terminals, as debtor’s counsel in jointly administered chapter 11 proceedings in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Louisiana.
- Represented the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the chapter 11 proceedings of Alfred Miller Contracting Company, a nationwide construction contractor, in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Louisiana.
- Represents the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of S2 Operating, LLC in chapter 11 proceedings in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Louisiana.
- Provided bankruptcy counsel to Clark, Love & Hutson, a member of the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in the 3M Combat Arms Earplug MDL, representing approximately 15,000 claimants in the largest multidistrict litigation in U.S. history, arising from the chapter 11 filings of Aearo Technologies LLC and affiliated debtors in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Indiana.
