Celebrating Women’s History Month: Fishman Haygood’s Women Attorneys Make Their Mark
March 31, 2026
As Women’s History Month draws to a close, Fishman Haygood is proud to highlight recent accomplishments of the firm’s women attorneys, who in the past month alone have earned national recognition and delivered meaningful results for clients across a range of practices.
Alicia Bendana and Cherie Nobles have been named to the 2026 Lawdragon 500 Leading Global Bankruptcy & Restructuring Lawyers, recognized for their work in bankruptcy, restructuring, and creditors’ rights. Both are also among the Top 25: 2026 Women Louisiana Super Lawyers — a distinction that reflects their standing among the state’s leading practitioners.
Partner Lori Mince has been elected to the International Society of Barristers, an invitation-only organization that recognizes outstanding trial lawyers following a rigorous screening by lawyers and judges. Lori practices in commercial litigation, media law, and tax litigation, and was recently named the 2026 Best Lawyers “Lawyer of the Year” in Litigation – First Amendment (New Orleans).
Associate Marina Speligene served as a key member of the team representing Provident Resources Group in the issuance of $241.2 million in tax-exempt bonds to finance a new 20-story student housing development serving Florida International University.
Partner Kaja Elmer played a leading role in the firm’s Latch, Inc. Securities Litigations, which earned an honorable mention among the Top 10 Most Complicated Class Action Asset Recovery Opportunities of 2025 in Broadridge Financial Solutions’ annual global report.
Associates Zoe Vogel and Isabel Englehart both spoke at the 31st Annual Tulane Environmental Law & Policy Summit, one of the nation’s longest-running student-led environmental law conferences. Zoe spoke on the “Young Professionals on the Frontlines of Environmental Law” panel, and Isabel presented on the “Law and Policy of Blue Carbon.”
These accomplishments reflect the values that define Fishman Haygood at its best — excellence, collaboration, and a commitment to doing work that truly matters. From complex transactions and high-stakes litigation to shaping the next generation of environmental lawyers, these attorneys embody what it means to be exceptional people doing meaningful work for their clients and the community. Women’s History Month may come once a year, but their impact is felt every day.
