Voting was open to all licensed attorneys in New Orleans. Attorneys were asked which attorney(s) they would recommend in the community. While nominators could not recommend themselves, they were allowed to recommend up to three colleagues in each practice area. The data was evaluated by Detroit-based Professional Research Services, and attorneys receiving the highest number of votes were named to the list.
