Fishman Haygood attorneys Billy Patrick, Tristan Manthey, Brent Barriere, Cherie Nobles, and Alicia Bendana were recently selected to the 2025 Lawdragon 500 Leading Global Bankruptcy & Restructuring Lawyers guide. Billy is recognized for Corporate Bankruptcy & Restructuring; Tristan for Bankruptcy, Reorganization, & Litigation; Brent for Litigation, including Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights; Cherie for Bankruptcy Litigation; and Alicia for Bankruptcy, Restructuring, & Creditors’ Rights. Only 11 Louisiana lawyers are featured on the list, with Fishman Haygood leading the way with the most recognized attorneys. Click here for the full announcement.

The guide is comprised of lawyers who “get the Mayday call when companies and other major entities face crises that imperil their existence.” Lawdragon selected honorees based on journalistic reporting, independent research, and nominations, as well as vetting by peers and experts in the field of bankruptcy law. Honorees not only have been in practice for 10 years, with rare exception, but also have earned the respect of their counterparts and clients.

The Fishman Haygood bankruptcy team has had significant experience successfully representing creditors’ committees in Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi, including Venture, Inc., Energy XXI, Louisiana Heart Hospital, Acadiana Management Group, Petroquest Energy and Seahawk Drilling, and debtors, like Knight Energy Holdings and Harvest Oil & Gas, in major bankruptcy cases. The team has been a key participant in bankruptcy cases and workouts across the country. Click here for more information on our Bankruptcy and Restructuring practice.

Most recently, Fishman Haygood’s bankruptcy team was chosen to represent the plant-based food company Atlantic Natural Foods, which owns and distributes vegan brands Loma Linda, Chik’n, Tuno, Neat, Kaffree Roma, and Modern Menu nationwide, in its Chapter 11 bankruptcy case. The case is pending before the Hon. Meredith S. Grabill in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana (New Orleans). Learn about that case here.

The firm’s bankruptcy and restructuring group also litigates commercial cases. Team members represent clients in high stakes matters involving officer and director liability, professional negligence, fraud, RICO, fraudulent transfers, and business dissolutions.
