U.S. Fifth Circuit Affirms District Court’s Case Dismissal of Putative Class Action Against Fishman Haygood Client GoAuto

On October 3, 2025, Judges Leslie H. Southwick, Patrick E. Higginbotham, and Edith H. Jones of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit affirmed a district court’s dismissal of a putative class action case in favor of Fishman Haygood client GoAuto Insurance. The suit, which involved 400,000 putative class members and more than $2 billion in alleged liability, was related to the company’s automobile policy cancellation practices.
