Three New Associates Join the Fishman Haygood Team

Fishman Haygood is pleased to welcome back three new associates, all of whom worked as summer clerks at the firm in 2021. Carly Jonakin and Brennan O’Keefe join the litigation team at our New Orleans office, while Marina Speligene will practice in our business section in Baton Rouge.

Carly Jonakin studied at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. Since Carly was last with us, she became a member of the St. Thomas More Inn of Court. Carly also competed in-person with her Willem C. Vis moot court team in Prague, and she served as the Managing Editor of Print for the Loyola Law Review. Her proudest law school achievement was ranking third in her class upon graduation.

Brennan O’Keefe graduated as part of The Order of the Coif (the top 10% in his class) from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University. His proudest law school achievement was receiving the CALI (highest grade) award in four classes: Federal Complex Litigation, Biotechnology Law, Comparative Cybersecurity, and Advanced Legal Research.

Marina Speligene also graduated from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University. Like Brennan, she was selected for induction into LSU Law chapter of The Order of the Coif, the highest honor a law student can receive. Click here to read a profile about Marina in the Advocate.
