Schilling Selected for CABL’s Leadership Louisiana Class of 2024

Fishman Haygood is pleased to announce that Blair Schilling, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Section, recently was selected for the 2024 Leadership Louisiana class. The program, an initiative of the Council for a Better Louisiana (CABL), was established in 1989 to offer civic-minded citizens a deeper understanding of the challenges facing our state and the solutions that can help move us forward. Participants demonstrate a willingness to lead, maintain high levels of personal and professional excellence, and feel responsible for and committed to making Louisiana a better place. Read more about the program here.

Since its inception, Leadership Louisiana has trained more than 1,400 leaders from the corporate, professional, government, finance, news-media, education, industry, healthcare, legal, university, political, culture, and nonprofit sectors. Schilling joins 51 other participants in making a one-year commitment to six, two-day sessions at sites across the state. Discussion topics include workforce training, economic strategies for growth, politics, criminal justice, and healthcare, among others.

Schilling believes that the most significant challenges that Louisiana faces in the next five years are environmental. Her professional and personal goal is to make Louisiana more resilient and encourage future sustainable economic growth in the region.
