Herman to Present at Upcoming Ethics & Professionalism CLE Hosted by the Louisiana State Bar Association

On September 13, 2024, Fishman Haygood special counsel Steve Herman will present on “Emerging Issues in Legal Ethics” at an Ethics and Professionalism CLE seminar hosted by the Louisiana State Bar Association (LSBA). Herman serves on the LSBA’s standing Rules of Professional Conduct Committee. Click here to learn more about the program.

Herman frequently speaks on legal ethics, including on the topic of using generative AI in the profession. Among his many appointments, he has served on the American Association for Justice (AAJ) Board of Governors since 2014 and currently serves as Chair of the AAJ’s AI Task Force. Most recently, he presented on “Ethical Rules for Using Chat GPT/AI” at the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association’s (WTLA) 2024 Annual Convention in Cody, Wy.

In his “Examining Ethical Rules” thought leadership series, Herman also explores various American Bar Association Professional Rules and other legal requirements that could potentially be implicated with the use—or non-use—of ChatGPT or other generative AI.
