Firm Client Provident Resources Group Participates in $200 Million Bond Financing for University of South Florida Housing Project

Fishman Haygood client Provident Resources Group Inc. subsidiary PRG Fletcher Properties LLC served as borrower in the issuance of approximately $200 million in housing revenue bonds (including approximately $194 million in tax-exempt bonds) to finance student and affiliate housing facilities as part of Uptown Landing, a mixed-use development on the University of South Florida (USF) campus in Tampa. The development, which is within walking distance of USF’s new on-campus football stadium, will create a vibrant neighborhood destination for students, community members, alumni, and fans.

Comprised of approximately 30 acres, phase one plans include 717 beds of student housing and 152 apartments, the latter of which will be reserved for USF graduate students and employees. Four to six restaurants, 68,000-square-feet of retail space, and a hotel and conference center will round out the project. Major academic research facilities are also planned for the development and are being funded by a separate $225 million investment.

The nearly $500 million mixed-use development is the largest public-private partnership (PPP) in the history of the State University System of Florida. USF and its development partners broke ground on the first phase of the project on September 8, 2026.
