October 21, 2025
Partner Tad Bartlett, head of Fishman Haygood’s Appellate Section, was recently interviewed for the Texas Appellate Law Podcast. The episode, “Starting, Statistics, and Second Chances in Appellate Law,” details both Tad’s professional and personal journeys as a practitioner—from having to educate trial lawyers on how an appellate attorney can benefit their teams to running the influential Take the Fifth blog, becoming one of only eighteen Appellate Practice Specialists certified by the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization (LBLS), and recovering from a traumatic cycling accident. Tad assists clients on appellate matters in all Louisiana state courts, as well as in matters before the U.S. Second, Fifth, Seventh, and Ninth Circuits, and in certiorari practice before the U.S. Supreme Court.
