Steve Herman One of 17 Attorneys Elected to 2025-26 American Association for Justice Non-Officer Executive Committee Membership

The American Association for Justice (AAJ) Board of Directors recently elected Fishman Haygood special counsel Steve Herman to its 2025-26 Non-Officer Executive Committee, making him one of only 17 attorneys nationwide chosen to serve as members this term. In addition to his new role, Steve will continue serving as Chair of the AAJ Amicus Committee, Chair of AAJ’s AI Task Force, Treasurer of the AAJ Endowment Board, and a Louisiana representative on the AAJ’s Board of Governors, a post he has held since 2014. The American Association for Justice is a nonprofit organization with networks across the U.S. and Canada. Its mission is to promote justice and fairness for injured persons, protect victims’ rights, particularly the right to a jury trial, and strengthen the civil justice system through education and the disclosure of information important to public health and safety. Steve has held numerous leadership roles over the course of his 30-year legal career. He is a Past President of the Louisiana Association for Justice, and he currently serves as Chair of the organization’s Amicus Curiae Committee. Steve also served as the 2023-24 President of the New Orleans Bar Association. Additionally, he is the Chair of the Louisiana State Bar Association’s (LSBA) Section on Class Action, Mass Tort, and Complex Litigation, and serves on the standing LSBA Rules on Professional Conduct Committee.
