June 11, 2025
On June 17, 2025, Fishman Haygood special counsel Sharonda Williams will participate in the “DEI in Flux” panel at the Morning at the Federal Courthouse event, hosted by the New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association’s Younger Lawyers Division. Morning at the Federal Courthouse brings together young lawyers, law students, and summer associates for an opportunity to observe and learn firsthand about federal practice. Sharonda and fellow “DEI in Flux” panelists will discuss the evolving landscape of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives—both those implemented before and after recent executive orders. The panel will also address the current state of law and the realistic effects of these orders in the education, employment, and legal fields.
Sharonda is very active in professional and civic organizations at the state and local levels, and she frequently lectures at seminars and continuing education events. Most recently, she spoke on “The Professionalism Era: Lawyers as Politicians, Good or Bad?” at the 2025 New Orleans Bar Association’s Bench Bar Conference. Read more about Sharonda here.
