Miller to Present on Civil Procedure at Upcoming New Orleans Bar Association Bench Bar Conference

On March 22, 2024, Fishman Haygood partner Kerry Miller will speak on “‘Catch a Wave’: Riding the Waves of Civil Procedure” during the New Orleans Bar Association’s (NOBA) Bench Bar Conference. This weekend-long event provides attendees with a deep dive into the latest developments in the legal community, as well as the opportunity to meet and interact with judges from state and federal courts. Miller’s presentation will explore the similarities and differences between litigating in state and federal court, including a discussion on recent procedural changes. He will present alongside the Hon. Wendy B. Vitter (U.S. District Court – Eastern District of Louisiana), the Hon. Ethel S. Julien (Orleans Civil District Court), and Chloé Chetta (Barrasso Usdin Kupperman Freeman & Sarver). Thomas Flanagan of Flanagan Partners will moderate the presentation.

Miller’s trial practice is as diverse as it is busy. He has tried cases involving environmental contamination, products liability, breach of contract, breach of lease, redhibition, unfair trade practices, Jones Act, civil and criminal RICO and civil and criminal provisions of the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and the Oil Pollution Act. Read about his practice here.
