Miller Quoted by Reuters on Failures of Silvergate and Signature Banks

Kerry Miller, a partner in Fishman Haygood’s Litigation Section, was quoted in the Reuters article “Silvergate, Signature banks’ woes pose new obstacle for FTX customers,” which was published on Mar. 13, 2023. The article details the recent failures of both Silvergate and Signature, as well as what that could mean for FTX customers who have filed class action lawsuits which allege that the banks, among others, participated in the fraud. On Feb. 22, 2023, Fishman Haygood and Stumphauzer Kolaya Nadler & Sloman filed a sweeping class action lawsuit on behalf of FTX customers in federal court in Miami, Fla., the former location of the collapsed company’s U.S. headquarters. The most comprehensive filing to date, the lawsuit seeks to recover damages in the form of investment losses against the banks, venture capital firms, accounting firms, and law firm that allegedly aided and abetted FTX founder Samuel Bankman-Fried and his company in a scheme to defraud customers out of billions of dollars and crypto assets.
