Maureen Gershanik Elected to National Council of Jewish Women – Greater New Orleans Board of Directors

Maureen Gershanik, a partner in Fishman Haygood’s Business Section, was recently appointed to a two-year term on the board of the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) – Greater New Orleans Section. Founded in 1893, NCJW is the oldest women’s volunteer organization in the United States and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for women, children, and families, as well as to safeguarding individual rights and freedoms. The NCJW – Greater New Orleans Section was founded in 1897 and is comprised of approximately 1,000 members today. Click here to view the newly elected board members.

In addition to her active business transactional and advisory practice, Maureen prioritizes community engagement—both in and out of the office. She co-leads the Fishman Haygood Women’s Group, which was established to support firm attorneys both professionally and personally. Maureen also serves on the Jewish Endowment Foundation of Louisiana Board of Directors, is a former member of the Board of Trustees at Touro Synagogue (New Orleans), and is on the Advisory Committee for the Greater New Orleans Foundation’s Impact 100 women’s giving initiative.
