Louis Fishman Receives Isidore Newman School’s 2022 Distinguished Alumnus Award

Fishman Haygood founding partner and counsel to the firm Louis Fishman was recently selected as the 2022* recipient of Isidore Newman School’s Distinguished Alumnus Award, the highest honor the school bestows on its alumni. The award is given each year to graduates who have made significant contributions in their specific fields of endeavor and taken a vigorous civic leadership role, bringing honor to Newman through their achievements, both professionally and in the community. Fishman has continually supported Newman since he graduated in 1959. He served on the Board of Governors for almost fifteen years and continues to serve on both the Board of Trustees and the School Foundation Board of Directors. He is a third-generation graduate of Newman, and his children and grandchildren have continued this family legacy.

The Distinguished Alumnus Award ceremony honoring Fishman will be held in mid-October 2024.

This honor comes barely a month after Fishman’s induction into the Tulane Law School Hall of Fame and the firm’s announcement of its creation of the Louis Y. Fishman Professorship in Corporate Law. Read more about Fishman’s practice and career here.
