John Bel Edwards to Moderate Discussion with Gen. Stanley McChrystal at Upcoming New Orleans Book Festival

Fishman Haygood Partner and former Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards will serve as moderator for a featured event at the New Orleans Book Festival at Tulane University, leading a conversation with General Stanley McChrystal about his 2025 book, On Character: Choices That Define a Life.

During the session, Gen. McChrystal and John Bel, who served eight years on active duty in the U.S. Army before beginning his legal and public service career, will explore the moral and practical dimensions of decision-making under pressure, the lessons of accountability and integrity, and the enduring impact of choices on personal and public life. Together, they will consider how cultivating character shapes not only individual success, but the trust, resilience, and purpose of communities and institutions.

Their conversation will take place on Friday, March 13, from 10:00–10:45 a.m. in the Kendall Cram Lecture Hall, Lavin-Bernick Center, on Tulane University’s campus. Learn more here.
