On February 11, 2026, Fishman Haygood partner and former Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards was a featured speaker for LSU’s Pizza & Public Affairs series, an initiative designed to foster civic engagement and thoughtful dialogue across campus.
The event was open to students, faculty, and staff. Attendees were invited to enjoy free pizza while participating in a conversation with John Bel, who shared insights on governance, reducing political polarization, and the future of Louisiana. Pizza & Public Affairs is part of the Common Ground Project, a collaborative effort between LSU’s Reilly Center and the Public Affairs Research Council of Louisiana aimed at promoting bipartisan dialogue and strengthening trust in democratic institutions.
