Isabel Englehart Serves as Adjunct Lecturer of Clean Air Law at Tulane University Law School

Fishman Haygood Associate Isabel Englehart is serving as Adjunct Lecturer of Clean Air Law at Tulane University Law School during the 2026 Fall Semester. The course, part of the Master of Jurisprudence in Environmental Law program, is designed for non-lawyers, including business professionals, industry leaders, governmental regulators, and public interest or advocacy group members, who must navigate complex environmental regulations.

The class offers students a comprehensive and detailed examination of the content of the federal Clean Air Act and the role of the federal Environmental Protection Agency in interpreting, applying, and enforcing the terms of this statute. In addition, the course addresses issues related to state and local air pollution regulations, including enforcement methods. Students also learn about drafting and amending emissions standards, greenhouse gas regulation, and environmental justice considerations.

Isabel, who was a Managing Editor of the Tulane Law Review and Rule XX student attorney for the Tulane Environmental Law Clinic, has taught at her alma mater on several occasions, including as guest lecturer in the Coastal and Wetlands Law Seminar and Natural Resources Law course.

After law school, Isabel was a senior research fellow with the Tulane Institute on Water Resources Law and Policy. Prior to joining Fishman Haygood, she worked in former Governor John Bel Edwards’ Office of Coastal Activities where she assisted in policy development related to coastal protection and restoration.

Isabel’s continued role in legal education reflects Fishman Haygood’s commitment to staying at the forefront of scholarship.
