Fishman Haygood Serves as Special Louisiana Counsel to Moran Towing Corporation in its Acquisition of Bisso Towboat Co., Inc.

On October 2, 2025, Moran Towing Corporation announced its acquisition of 100% of the stock of Bisso Towboat Co., Inc. Founded in 1860 and headquartered in New Canaan, Conn., Moran is a leading U.S. marine service provider with a fleet of barges and tugboats operating in 17 ports along the nation’s East and Gulf Coasts. Bisso, a New Orleans-based company since 1890, is a leading ship-assist towboat company known for its fleet of tractor tugs. The acquisition demonstrates Moran’s long-term investment in regional growth, both in New Orleans and in communities along the lower Mississippi River.
