Fishman Haygood Represents Stirling in Sale of a Shopping Center and an Industrial Building in September 2025

Fishman Haygood represented longtime firm client Stirling in the sales of two significant commercial properties, one in Louisiana and the other in Mississippi, in September 2025. The firm has counseled the full-service commercial real estate company, as well as its affiliates, in numerous transactions involving the acquisitions and sales of commercial, industrial, and residential developments across the Gulf South.

First, Fishman Haygood attorneys Steven Serio, Ryan McNamara, and Megan Broussard represented Stirling in its sale of Westland Plaza, which closed September 15. The 214,000 sq. ft. grocery-anchored shopping center is in Jackson, Miss. Read more about the sale on Stirling’s website.

Then, on September 25, Steven represented Stirling in closing the sale of a 148,000 sq. ft. building in Lafayette, La. The space, formerly used as a wine and liquor distribution center, was bought by MMR Group. Significantly, the purchase helps MMR Group, the largest open-shop electrical and instrumentation contractor in the nation, expand its Louisiana footprint, boosting production for high-growth sectors such as data centers and semiconductors. Louisiana Economic Development (LED) and the Lafayette Economic Development Authority (LEDA) played a role in securing the sale.
