Fishman Haygood Represents Purchaser of Mixed-Use Community Health Hub Anchored by Whole Foods

Fishman Haygood recently represented brothers Beau and Jacques Goudeau in the purchase of the ReFresh Project, a multi-tenant commercial property anchored by Whole Foods Market and home to the Goldring Center for Culinary Medicine at Tulane University, FirstLine Schools, Boys Town Louisiana, and a community garden operated by SPROUT NOLA. Located at 300 North Broad St. in New Orleans, the 60,000 sq. ft. Mid-City community health hub opened in 2014 and was sold by nonprofit co-owners Alembic Community Development and Broad Community Connections. The sale was covered by Nola.com.

Broad Community Connections is dedicated to revitalizing downtown and inner-city corridors by focusing on both economic development and preservation. The site of a former Schwegmann’s Supermarket, the ReFresh Project was developed to bring together partners to serve the neighborhood’s health, education, and nutrition needs.

For their part, the Goudeau brothers have affirmed their commitment to honoring the original vision for the property.

“As a mission-driven owner, we embrace the responsibility that comes with investing in this central hub of community efforts,” the Goudeaus said in a statement to Nola.com.
