Fishman Haygood Partner Scott Willis Appointed Secretary of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers

Fishman Haygood congratulates Scott Willis, a partner in our Real Estate Section, on his appointment as Secretary of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL) 2026 Board of Governors. ACREL is a select national association of preeminent commercial real estate lawyers focused on service to clients, colleagues, and the profession.

Scott is a nationally respected real estate lawyer with a longstanding record of leadership in leading industry organizations. A longtime ACREL fellow, he previously served on the organization’s Board of Governors and the Attorneys’ Opinions Committee. He is a frequent ACREL webinar presenter and has been a guest on The Deep Dirt Dive—A Real Estate Law Podcast.

In addition, Scott is a member of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys (ACMA) and serves on its Board of Regents. He previously served as chair of the ACMA Opinions Committee and as a member of the ABA Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section Committee on Legal Opinions.
