Fishman Haygood Appellate Specialist Tad Bartlett to Speak at 2026 New Orleans Bar Association Bench Bar Conference

Partner Tad Bartlett, head of Fishman Haygood’s Appellate Group, will speak on the panel “Step by Step: U.S. Fifth Circuit Updates” at the New Orleans Bar Association’s 2026 Bench Bar Conference. Fishman Haygood is also sponsoring the conference as a Platinum Gavel Patron.

Tad’s session, taking place on March 28, 2026, will cover recent developments and key updates from the U.S. Fifth Circuit. He will be joined by distinguished panelists Hon. Barry W. Ashe (U.S. District Court, EDLA), Marcus B. Hunter (Kuchler Polk Weiner LLC), and Laurence D. “Lon” LeSueur, Jr. (Barrasso Usdin Kupperman Freeman & Sarver), with Thomas M. Flanagan (Flanagan Partners LLP) serving as panel chair.

The conference, held March 27–29, 2026, at the Hilton Lodge in Gulf Shores, Alabama, features a broad program of sessions, including Meet the Judges, a round-robin opportunity for attorneys to engage with judges from state and federal courts.

Tad is a Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization-certified Appellate Practice Specialist and serves on the LBLS Appellate Practice Advisory Commission. He has extensive experience in environmental and class action litigation, and maintains the Take the Fifth blog, which digests all published U.S. Fifth Circuit opinions and tracks opinion statistics.
