Burge, Richards Publish Article on Arbitrability

Fishman Haygood Partner Jason Burge and Associate Lara Richards recently published an article in the Gonzaga Law Review titled “Analyzing the Applicability of Statutes of Limitations in Arbitration.”

The article explores the growing confusion regarding whether statutes of limitations, which are time limits created by states’ respective statutes limiting the ability to pursue a claim in court, should be extended to private dispute arbitrations.

The Gonzaga Law Review article is the third in a series of articles that Jason and Lara have published over the past year dealing with issues in the realm of arbitrability. The other articles are “A Compelling Case for Streamlining Venue of Actions to Enjoin Arbitration,” 88 Tul. L. Rev. 773, 775 (2014) and “Defining ‘Customer’: A Survey of Who Can Demand FINRA Arbitration, 74 La. L. Rev. 173 (2013).
