Brent Barriere to Lecture on Cross-Examination at FBA – New Orleans Chapter’s Boot Camp for Trial Lawyers

On September 18, 2026, Fishman Haygood Partner Brent Barriere will lecture on cross-examination at Boot Camp for Trial Lawyers: The Rosenberg Spy Case – Then and Now, hosted by the Federal Bar Association – New Orleans Chapter at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. Designed by the American College of Trial Lawyers, the full-day CLE trial training program reenacts the historic Rosenberg Spy Case of 1951.

During the event, a faculty of preeminent trial lawyers and judges will discuss and demonstrate every phase of trial—from opening statements through closing arguments—with dynamic Q&A throughout the day. Brent’s lecture will address the techniques and strategies of effective cross-examination, setting the stage for a live demonstration of this trial advocacy skill using the facts of the Rosenberg case.

A seasoned litigator, Brent’s practice spans a wide variety of commercial disputes, including bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, securities litigation, breach of contract, business valuation disputes, director and officer claims, error and omission claims, and class actions. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, an invitation-only organization limited to those who have demonstrated the very highest standards of trial advocacy, ethical conduct, integrity, professionalism, and collegiality.
