Associate Dylan Futrell Named One of Three Loyola Law 2025 Junior Members to the Louisiana State Law Institute
January 15, 2025
Fishman Haygood associate Dylan Futrell was recently named one of three Loyola University New Orleans College of Law junior members to the Louisiana State Law Institute (LSLI) for 2025. The institute is governed by a council consisting of ex-officio and elected members representative of the executive branch of the government, the legislature, the judiciary, and the law-teaching and practicing professions, and junior members are invited to attend monthly meetings and learn about interesting issues up for the council’s consideration. In addition to Loyola Law, junior representatives hail from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Southern University Law Center, and Tulane University School of Law.
Established by the Louisiana Legislature in 1938, LSLI is one of the very first organizations of its kind in the country. Dedicated to public service, the institute’s purpose is “to promote and encourage the clarification and simplification of the law of Louisiana and its better adaptation to present social needs, to secure the better administration of justice, and to carry on scholarly legal research and scientific legal work.” Learn more about LSLI here.
Dylan received his law degree, summa cum laude, from Loyola Law and was a William L. Crowe scholar. Click here to read about Dylan.
