Alicia Bendana to Moderate Panel on Preparing Witnesses at 2026 IWIRC@NCBJ Conference

Fishman Haygood Special Counsel Alicia Bendana will moderate “On the Record: Preparing Witnesses for the High-Stakes World of Insolvency and Bankruptcy” during IWIRC@NCBJ on Oct. 7, 2026, in San Diego, California. Held in conjunction with the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges (NCBJ), the two-day event offers attendees networking and educational sessions led by the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) U.S. Programs Committee.

During the panel, restructuring litigators and financial experts will explore what effective witness preparation looks like when the stakes are high and the clock is short. Because the quality of witness preparation often determines the outcome in restructuring disputes, panelists will discuss how to prepare corporate representatives, expert witnesses, and third parties for depositions, 341 meetings, examiner interviews, and courtroom testimony.

Alicia focuses her national practice on complex bankruptcy and commercial litigation. She represents trustees, debtors, creditors, creditors’ committees, receivers, and liquidators in matters involving officer and director liability, professional negligence, fraud, RICO, fraudulent transfers, and business dissolutions. Her experience and insight have made her a trusted lead and co-lead counsel in some of the most challenging bankruptcy-related cases across multiple jurisdictions, including Texas and Delaware.

Beyond her practice, Alicia is active in professional and civic organizations locally, statewide, and nationally. She served as the founding co-chair of IWIRC’s Louisiana Network (2011-2015) and as a director at large on two separate occasions.
