Fishman Haygood Sponsors Benefit for World War II Museum

Fishman Haygood was one of the sponsors for “Drafts for Crafts,” a benefit to raise funds a restoration project at the National World War II Museum. Funds raised at the event go toward the restoration of a Higgins PT-305 boat.
One of the silent auction items at the event was the “Distiller for a Day” package, which involved learning the art of distillery from the staff of Atelier Vie. Fishman Haygood Associate Skylar Rosenbloom is one of the founders of the distillery. He is also a member of the museum’s Young Benefactor’s Committee, a committee focused on “the restoration and preservation of World War II artifacts.”
National World War II Museum’s Drafts for Crafts raises funds for PT-305 boat restoration
Time may march on, but for the National World War II Museum’s Young Benefactors Committee, embracing the past, is a guiding vocation. In fact, the group’s mission is to: “support the restoration and preservation of World War II artifacts.”
For the second year, the committee hosted, “Drafts for Crafts,” a benefit in mid-March that raised funds for a restoration project; this year, of a Higgins PT-305 boat. (The progress can be seen in the John E. Kushner Restoration Pavilion.)
In addition to viewing the boat — and the restored planes and artifacts in the museum’s U.S. Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center and Colonel Battle Barksdale Parade Ground, where the party was held — partygoers could listen to the sounds of Mississippi Rail Company and Sweet Crude, dine on food from more than 20 restaurants, sample beer for NOLA Brewing Company and other libations, and bid on items in the silent auction. One of the more popular items was the Distiller for a Day package: The winner would spend the day with the staff of Atelier Vie learning the art of distillery; a limousine ride and a $100 gift card to GW Fins.
