Rebekka Veith to Present on Direct Examination and Witness Prep at Upcoming LSBA Trial Mastery Seminar
April 21, 2025
On April 25, 2025, Fishman Haygood partner Rebekka Veith will present “Bringing Your Case to Life: Mastering Direct Examination and Witness Prep” at the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Trial Mastery: Building a Case from Voir Dire to Verdict seminar. This immersive CLE event is designed to sharpen every stage of trial advocacy, from selecting the right jury to delivering a compelling closing argument. Led by expert litigators, the masterclass dives deep into the art of persuasion, ethical trial conduct, and battle-tested techniques, leaving attendees with the confidence to command the courtroom. Learn more about and register for the seminar here.
As a young attorney, Rebekka has successfully handled all aspects of litigation, from initiating lawsuits to arguing appeals. She has completed five jury trials already in her career; most recently, Rebekka tried a case on behalf of a charter school and the Orleans Parish School Board related to defective construction work at a school building that resulted in the displacement of school children. The month-long trial was held in Orleans Parish Civil District Court and concluded in early February 2025 with a verdict that will total $10 million with interests and costs for the firm’s clients. Read more about the case here.
She also routinely shares her trial knowledge with future legal leaders. During the Spring 2025 semester, Rebekka served as a Trial Advocacy: General Litigation lecturer at Tulane University Law School, her alma mater. The weekly practical skills course has students “learn by doing,” a method through which they role-play simulated trial problems.
Fishman Haygood attorneys regularly lend their time and talent to scholarship and teaching of continuing developments in the law. Click here to read more about Rebekka’s practice and her community involvement.
