Rebekka Veith Speaks on Trial Skills at the FBA – New Orleans Chapter’s 2025 Justice Camp for Local High Schoolers
July 1, 2025
Fishman Haygood partner Rebekka Veith recently presented a “Trial Skills” session at the 2025 Justice Camp, hosted by the New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association (NOFBA). Alongside fellow presenters, Rebekka introduced rising high school freshman and sophomore students to essential lawyering skills, guiding them through the legal process—from the initial client interview to various stages of pretrial discovery. This is Rebekka’s third consecutive year volunteering as a program instructor. Learn more about Justice Camp here.
An annual week-long summer event, Justice Camp is designed for students interested in learning about the legal system and exploring potential careers in law through a fun and interactive format. Held at the Eastern District of Louisiana Courthouse in downtown New Orleans, the camp teaches students civil education and advocacy skills to help prepare them for college, work, and civic engagement. Justice Camp concludes with a mock trial where attendees receive the opportunity to demonstrate all that they have learned.
As a young attorney, Rebekka has successfully handled all aspects of litigation—from initiating lawsuits to arguing appeals—having completed five jury trials already in her career. She routinely shares her trial knowledge with future legal leaders, most recently having served as a Trial Advocacy: General Litigation lecturer at Tulane University Law School, her alma mater, during the Spring 2025 semester. Additionally, she is on NOFBA’s Younger Lawyers Division board. Click here to read more about Rebekka’s practice and her community involvement.
