Gershanik appointed to ABA’s Corporate Laws Committee
August 4, 2017
Fishman Haygood partner Maureen Gershanik has been appointed to the Corporate Laws Committee of the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section.
The Corporate Laws Committee oversees and continually revises the ABA’s Model Business Corporation Act, one of the most significant responsibilities of the ABA’s Business Law Section. The composition of the Committee is unique among the committees of the Section, with members who are experienced corporate practitioners or scholars serving only by appointment of the Committee Chair.
Gershanik practices in the areas of corporate law, securities law and mergers and acquisitions. She advises public and private companies on a diverse range of business law matters including SEC compliance, corporate governance, capital-raising transactions (including public and private offerings of debt and equity securities), acquisition transactions, and new business formations.
