Sanderson Farms, Inc. $120 Million Equity Offering

Fishman Haygood advised Sanderson Farms, Inc. in connection with its follow-on equity offering of 2,300,000 shares of its common stock, including 300,000 shares from the full exercise of the underwriters’ over-allotment option.  Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated and J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. served as joint book-running managers for the offering.  The gross proceeds of the offering were approximately $120 million.  This was Sanderson Farms’ first equity offering since its initial public offering in 1987.

Sanderson Farms, Inc. is engaged in the production, processing, marketing and distribution of fresh and frozen chicken and other prepared food items.  Its shares trade on the Nasdaq Global Stock Market under the symbol SAFM.
