Louis Y. Fishman Named by Best Lawyers in America as New Orleans First Corporate Lawyer of the Year

In 2009, Best Lawyers in America named Louis Y. Fishman as its first ever “New Orleans Corporate Lawyer of the Year.”

According to Best Lawyers in America, it is designating “Lawyers of the Year” in high-profile practice areas in large legal communities. Only a single lawyer in each such practice area in each community is being honored as a “Lawyer of the Year.”

Best Lawyers reports that it compiles its lists of attorneys by conducting exhaustive peer-review surveys in which thousands of leading lawyers confidentially evaluate their professional peers. According to the publication, the lawyers being honored as “Lawyers of the Year” have received particularly high ratings in the surveys by earning a high level of respect among their peers and for their abilities, professionalism and integrity.
