Corporate Section Active in Major Business Transactions

Our mergers and acquisitions team, including Louis Y. Fishman, Sterling Scott Willis and Steven C. Serio, advised Thibodaux company Rouses Markets in its acquisition of all 18 of the Sav-A-Center and A&P stores in the area, plus two more in Mississippi, from the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. The acquisition will be named "deal of the year" by the Association for Corporate Growth. Mr. Fishman and Mr. Willis, along with Edward P. Scharfenberg, also advised Powell Insurance Agency in its recent acquisition by Arthur Gallagher & Co. Mr. Fishman and Maureen B. Gershanik continued their on-going representation of Sanderson Farms, Inc. in the areas of corporate governance, SEC reporting and executive compensation.
